Privacy Policy

How FacesToClips handles your photos, videos and personal data.

Last updated: 2026-10-08

What this policy covers

FacesToClips turns photos you upload into short AI-generated videos. This policy explains what we collect to do that, who helps us process it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have.

What we collect

  1. Photos you upload. The photos of the people who appear in your video, and technical details of the files.
  2. Your video. The generated video, a preview image, and intermediate images made while creating it.
  3. Contact details. The email address you give us for delivery. If you create an account: your email address and, with Google sign-in, your name and profile picture.
  4. Order details. What you bought, the price, the status of the order, and the payment reference from our payment partner. We never receive or store your full card number.
  5. Technical data. IP address, browser type and basic logs needed to run the service, prevent abuse and fix problems.
  6. Cookies. Cookies that keep you signed in, remember your order in the browser you paid with, and protect forms. Public pages may also use analytics and advertising cookies from Google.

How we use it

  • To create and deliver the video you ordered.
  • To take payment, issue refunds and keep the records the law requires.
  • To send emails about your order: confirmation, your video, delays and refunds.
  • To keep the service secure and prevent misuse.
  • To understand, in aggregate, how the site is used.

We do not use your photos or videos to advertise FacesToClips, and we do not publish them. Sample videos on the site are made from material we own or have permission to use.

Photos of other people

Only upload photos of yourself or of adults who have agreed to appear in the video. Do not upload photos of children.

Who processes your data

We use service providers to run FacesToClips. They process data on our behalf for the purposes above:

  • Cloud hosting and storage for the website, database and private file storage.
  • AI model providers, which receive your photos to generate the images and video.
  • A payment provider, which acts as merchant of record and handles your payment details.
  • An email delivery provider, which sends our order emails.
  • A background task provider, which runs the creation process.

These providers have their own retention practices for the data they handle. We do not sell your personal data.

How long we keep it

  • Photos for an order that was never paid: up to 24 hours.
  • Photos and intermediate images after an order is finished: deleted within 24 hours.
  • Your finished video and preview image: 30 days after it is ready.
  • Order, payment and credit records: as long as accounting and tax rules require.
  • Account details: until you delete your account.

Copies may remain for a limited time in backups and in the systems of the providers listed above, according to their own schedules.

Your choices

  • Delete files. You can delete the photos and video of an order from the order page.
  • Access and correction. You can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, or ask us to correct it.
  • Account deletion. You can ask us to delete your account. Records we must keep by law are retained.
  • Email. Order emails are part of the service. We do not send marketing email without your consent.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, including the right to complain to a data protection authority.

Private links

The link in your video email opens your order without a password. Treat it like a key and share it only with people you trust. You can request a new link at any time.

Security

Uploaded photos and videos are stored in private storage and served through short-lived links. Access to an order is checked on every request. No system is perfectly secure, and we work to keep yours protected.

Changes

We will update this page when our practices change, and revise the date at the top.
