Choosing photos
You need one photo for each person in the story: one, two or three, depending on the story. Each story page shows how many.
- One adult per photo. The face should be clearly visible, in focus and evenly lit.
- Format and size. JPEG, PNG or WebP, up to 10 MB each, at least 512 pixels on the short side. HEIC photos need to be converted first.
- Angle. A front or three-quarter view gives the most recognizable result. Sunglasses, masks, heavy filters and group shots make results worse.
- Permission. Use photos of yourself, or of adults who have agreed to appear in the video.
Each photo is checked right after you upload it. If a photo cannot be used, you are told which one to replace, and the other photos stay in place.
Roles
Each story page shows its roles, such as the survivor and the infected in Zombie Love Story. In stories with more than one person you can swap photos before you pay. After payment the roles are fixed for that order.
Paying
You can pay for a single video with a card and an email address. No account is needed. Payments are processed by PayPal.
Waiting for your video
Your video is created in the background once payment is confirmed. You can close the page. The order page shows the current step, and we email you when the video is ready.
If creation takes longer than expected, the order page says so. You do not need to pay again or start over.
Getting your video
When your video is ready you receive an email with a private link to your order. From there you can watch and download the video. The email does not contain the video file itself.
Anyone who has the link can open the order, so only forward it to people you want to see the video. If you lose the email, open your order again on the Orders page with the order number shown after payment and in your confirmation email.
How long files are kept
- Uploaded photos for an order that was never paid: up to 24 hours.
- Uploaded photos after your order is finished: deleted within 24 hours.
- Uploaded photos for a paid order whose video is not finished yet: kept so the video can be made, for at most 7 days after the last activity on the order.
- Your finished video, and the clips and frames made on the way to it: 30 days from the moment they are made.
- Order and payment records: kept as required for accounting.
Download your video within 30 days. After that the order still appears in your history, marked as expired.
Deleting your files
Uploaded photos are deleted automatically within 24 hours after the order is finished, and videos 30 days after they are made. To have the files of an order removed sooner, write to support@facestoclips.com with your order number. Removing files after the video is ready does not by itself refund the order.
If something goes wrong
If a video cannot be made, your payment stays safe and you can have it made again from your order page with the same photos, at no extra cost. You can also ask for a refund there; we review every request ourselves, usually within one business day. See the Refund Policy.
If the email address on your order was mistyped, open the order in the browser you paid with and change the address there. The new address is verified before anything is sent to it.
Sharing your video
You are free to post your video on social platforms. Some platforms ask creators to label realistic AI-generated content, so check the rules of the platform you post on. Zombie Love Story and Gas Station arrive with sound. STORM II and Burning Bridges arrive with AI-generated on-set sound and no music. Hotel Lobby and Smalltown Boy arrive without sound. The music stories are timed to the original sound of their trend, and your order page tells you what to search for in the sounds library of TikTok or Instagram Reels. With any of them you can add music in the app you publish with.
